Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
