The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring divine entities, fiends, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of heroes who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to form the Questers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
